McKay Joinery

From their studio and workshop in Sunshine North, ARKit designs and builds prefab homes and commercial buildings for sites all round Australia. Many include doors and windows made by us.

ARKit describe themselves as "architects that build", and it comes across in their approach to the residential projects we've contributed to – constructed using building systems that save time on site, and designed to meet the needs of their clients' specific briefs. Timber features prominently as a building material, primarily because of its environmental credentials, and that's where we come in, supplying custom-designed timber doors and windows.

We've featured one of these projects, the Three Pavilions house, elsewhere on our website. And below is a quick selection of our work at some other recent ARKit projects: Light House, a beach house for a family of five and a dog; HONA, a double-level addition to an inner-city Victorian home; and Little City, a house so compact, it occupies what was previously the adjoining property's driveway!
